About Me
I spent over 25 years in the ceramic industry in Stoke on Trent working with colours and coatings for ceramics, glass and paints, using this knowledge I create art and craft items for sale. I now live on the beautiful the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides where my surrounds inspire the cerations I produce.
I have a passion for glass and have been fascinated by it for many years , this facination lead me into Lampworking which is a technique used to make small glass items using a hot flame. I have been making Jewellery and small glass items using this technique for over 5 years.
I also encase Cremation Ashes into glass, which came about after my Mothers death. My Sister asked me if I could add some of her ashes to a glass bead as a memorial necklace so she could keep Mum with her. Since then people have asked if I could make them memorial beads.
So it is with thanks and dedication to my Mother that my Remembrance / Memorial business was born. She was always an inspiration to me and now continues to be so.
For the Remembrance / Memorial Range I offer a personal service where I produce a range of hand crafted affordable glass memorial jewellery.
I take your cremation ashes and encase them in glass which permanently traps the ashes between layers of molten glass, producing a beautiful lasting piece of jewellery as a glass memorial tribute to a departed partner, family member, friend or pet.
Each piece of jewellery is individually handmade, they are not mass produced the ashes produce dark colours, bubbles and bumps in the glass and as such have their own look reflecting the individuality, spirit and essence of the ashes encased in them.
I understand funerals and most things associated with the death of a loved one are normally expensive.
I offer a unique range of memorial tributes at a fraction of the cost of many of the companies offering a similar service.
